The research theme for this year, “DIGITAL ECONOMY, YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND SUSTAINABLE JOB CREATION: Issues, Challenges, Opportunities” aligns with my mantra to galvanize digitization in every facet of our national life because of the enriching opportunities it bestows.
Taking into account a paper “Ukraine: Digital resilience in a time of war” recently published by Brookings Institution, the authors of the paper, George Ingram and Priya Vora explain about how digital technology/ E-governance is at the core of President Volodymyr Zelensky's policies as Russia's attacks rage on.
Nigeria too can harness these opportunities suited to the needs of it's youth boom.
For this reason I urge the participants to rise up the occasion as the nation awaits their extensive findings and recommendations.
